Once the heartbeat of Saint Lucia airwaves 97.3FM, the former Radio Saint Lucia frequency is back under the re-imagined Saint Lucia FM radio broadcast station officially began operations on August 1st, 2025, Emancipation Day.
Saint Lucia FM has as its aim to inform, educate, uplift, and entertain listeners. Saint Lucia FM began broadcasting online in 2023 and had been on course to move to the 97.3 FM frequency. Under the tagline, “your radio, your voice”, Saint Lucia FM will broadcast 100 percent local music, national events, government policy discussion and other programming of interest to Saint Lucians.
Saint Lucia FM will serve as a trusted source for news and information, most significantly, during natural disasters, reinforcing its role as a lifeline in times of national need. The station’s public service mandate will ensure accurate, timely, and life-saving information reaches every Saint Lucian household when it matters most.
Initially operating an automated 4-hour weekly loop as part of Phase 1, Saint Lucia FM will also broadcast live, all major national events. The other phases of development will introduce a full-fledged broadcast station with dedicated staff and equipment.
